  Robyn Ochs, Ed.M. is a speaker and consultant on issues related to
sexual orientation, gender and identity
 
Speaking
  1985 - present: Robyn has spoken at more than 400 colleges, universities, conferences and public events in Australia, Canada, Denmark, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the United States. She has keynoted numerous conferences, including the International Conference on Bisexuality; the European Bisexual Conference; UK BiCon; Midwest Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender College Conference; Out on the Prairie; Out in the Middle of the Wheatfield; Pink Mountain Conference; BECAUSE Conference; Common Threads Youth Empowerment Retreat, and several other regional LGBT conferences. She also speaks to community, youth, senior, corporate and professional groups. Details here >>  
Writing
  Robyn is the editor of two books: Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World (2005, 2009), a 42-country anthology (Spanish and Chinese language editions forthcoming) and the Bisexual Resource Guide. She is also current editor of Bi Women, a quarterly publication. Her writings have appeared in numerous women's studies, LGBT and multicultural anthologies. Read here >>  
Teaching
  Robyn has taught at Massachusetts Institute for Technology, Cambridge, MA (1991); Tufts University, Medford, MA (1992-2003); and Johnson State College, Vermont (2002). Courses include:
  • Transgressing Binaries: Sex, Gender, Race and Sexual Orientation
  • Identity/Politics: Contextualizing Bisexuality
  • History, Community, Politics: Emergence of Sexual Minority Voices in the U.S. (aka. "The Gay Agenda")
 
Campus Activism
  For 26 years, Robyn worked as an administrator at Harvard University where she was co-founder and co-chair of the LGBT Faculty and Staff Group (2008); an active member of the Trans Task Force; co-founder and facilitator of LBTQ Lunches, a monthly lunch series for lesbian, bi, queer and trans women faculty and staff; and a Faculty Adviser to Harvard’s undergraduate student LGBTQ organization, currently called QSA.
